Kelowna is approximately half way down Lake Okanagan with Vernon being at the very northern tip and Penticton is at the most southernly point of the lake. Lake Okanagan is approximately 169 kilometers long and over 700 feet deep in spots.The US border is approx 90 miles south.
Kelowna has aways been known as a holiday destination spot and for its fruit growings capabilities, but in the past decade Kelowna has produced many of the Worlds best wines. October is a great month to visit Kelowna during many wine festivals and events.

You can drive to Kelowna from Calgary in 6 1/2 hours and to Vancouver in just 3 1/2 hours. We have an international airport and flights from Seattle, Vancouver and Alberta are an hour or less making Kelowna the playground for hundreds of thousands year round.
We have truly all four seasons with hot, but not humid summers and mild winters.
There are 18 Golf courses and 3 world class ski destinations all within an hours drive of Kelowna.( Big White, Silver Star and Apex).
